A Loving Land for Peaceful People

Aletheia University in Tamshui Campus is one of the most beautiful and memorial
places near Taipei, including Oxford College , Grand Cathedral, wonderful flower
nursery, etc.?The various trees near the main gate are green through the year,
but just not seasonably colorful. A group young men love the land by planting a
number of cherry blossom trees and presents to the University. And the
presentation ceremony will be held on April 30, 2005, from 3:00p.m. to 5:30p. m.
It happens that Taipei-Downtown Y’s Men’s Club is going to celebrate his 30th
Anniversary and looking for a program of community service to feedback the
society. The Club projects a cooperative plan with the Aletheia by planting and
presenting 32 cherry blossom trees at the Campus. They are snowy Yoshino and
pinky Yae Sakura. The trees have been beautifully and successfully planted in
the coldest days in February this year, following the instruction of
professional gardener. Surprisingly,
all trees start budding very soon and blooming in full blossoms around the end
of March. It seems that the whole campus like a picture, has been beautifully
colored and the environment charmingly decorated .The University sets up a
memorial stone at the side of 3H boulevard, engraved with the theme of Love,
Peace and Friendship, symbolizing a good cooperation and communication between a
university and a Y’s Men’s club
Taipei-Downtown Club will hold his 30th anniversary celebration from 5:30 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. at Grand Cathedral, where special appreciation certificates and
scholarships will be given to 175 Smile Angeles of annual Polite Taiwan
Movement. Besides the student representatives, VIP from international brother
clubs in Japan, Korea and Hongkong and nearly 200 other guests are invited to
join this significant celebration.
