| The still small voice | 良知的聲音、明辨是非之 |
from：1 Kings 19：12 出自：列王記上19：11、12
| And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the
Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind….. And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. |
11耶和華說：「你出來站在山上，在我面前。」那時耶和華從那裡經過，在他面前有烈風大作，崩山碎石，耶和華卻不在風中；風後地震，耶和華卻不在其中；12地震後有火、耶和華也不在火中；火後有微小的聲音。 |
說明與應用：
Elijah逃亡到Horeb山上的山洞中，耶和華跟他到山上，問他來這裡幹什麼？Elijah說了很多逃亡的藉口，最後上帝叫他站在山洞口，先有烈風大作，後有地震，最後有火，火後上帝才出現，並且有微小的聲音對Elijah說話，不知道說了什麼話。等Elijah走出山洞，上帝才又對他說“你還在這裡做什麼？你快回去吧！….”。Elijah才恍然大悟不該逃亡。
那微小的聲音是什麼？只有Elijah心中明白。NRSV用a sound of sheer silence，Tev用the soft whisper of a
voice，CEV用a gentle breeze.
Wordsworth在Tintern Abbey中引用…..but hearing oftentimes the still, sad music of
humanity; Whittier引用…speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire, a small,
still voice of calm; …the still small voice which reached the prophet’s ear.
