A man after his own heart 合他心意的人

from：1 Samuel 13：14                                          出自：撒母耳記上13：14

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
現在你的王位必不長久．耶和華已經尋著一個合他心意的人、立他作百姓的君、因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。

說明與應用：
在掃羅做以色列王的末期，他做了好幾次違背上帝的行為，沒有遵守上帝的命令。撤母耳奉派對掃羅說：But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart.上帝所喜愛的以色列領袖或君王是遵從祂旨意的人。
After one’s own heart意指心意互通，甚至心照不宣。
